Black- 99 Camaro SS
driver side window problems... not motor
99 Camaro SS
First of all i have replaced the driver side window... about a month ago. I have a problem with my driver side window as a direct result of my car alarm went off(im assuming, since i have never tested the car alarm in about 4 months). Initially the door lock did not work for the driver side although the driver side switch worked. then i turned on the car and the door locks worked for both sides. This was spontanious and there was no symptoms of a broken motor... although im still wondering if the motor could have shorted out? The switch for the driver side window continuity is fine. I also hear a relay clicking under the dash... any suggestions? Thanks

Try disconnecting the PCM of the alarm. It should be under the driver's side dash and should just unplug from the wiring harness and try your window out. The car should still work and worts case - if it doesn't, then just plug it back in. Alarms also have relays which are probably wired right next to its PCM, check if those are good.
