I think you can just hold down the lock and unlock button next to the car to reset it.

I like that idea. It'll either narrow it down or eliminate them as a possibility.

Agree... I think that should keep it from locking but something is still telling it to do it.........

    IDK, just thinking out loud.

Nothing worse than trying to find a shorted wire, especially in a car.

I do that for a living and it's no fun.

Maybe it would be a good idea to try re-setting the transmitter. There may be a frequency it's picking up on & causing problems

Ok so the Body Control Module (BCM) directly controls the door locks based on signals from the door locks switch. The BCM also receives the keyless transmitter signal.
So there are couple possibilites here. The BCM is bad, one of the door lock switches is bad, there is a radio signal being picked up by the BCM other then your keyless transmitter, or there is a short to ground in between the Door Lock Switch(es) and the BCM.

Here we go, right out of GM's service manual:
The remote keyless entry system operates on a 315 MHz radio frequency at a low energy level. If the system fails to operate from a normal distance, inspect for the following conditions:

There are weak batteries in the remote transmitter.

The expected battery life is two years.

The transmitter and the BCM are not synchronized.

Trees, bushes or other objects are blocking the signal.

The system is in close proximity to one of the following radio transmitters:

    - A radio station tower

    - An airport transmitter

    - Mobile radios

    - CB radios

I never heard of having to do that. I have changed the batteries in my TA remotes and my Trailblazer remotes and they still go right back working after. I think you may want to have the brain for the keyless entry checked. I usually swap to aftermarket alarm w/ remote starts mostly because GM remotes suck and I don't trust them. The factory alarms are a joke as well. I did my trailblazer and the TA is next in line.

I think alot of aftermarket alarms and remote starts are a joke. I've seen far too many problems caused by that junk.

    Boy I feel better now.........

So far I've put a new battery in the remote and reprogrammed it.......

Don't know if it did anything as it locks whenever it dam well feels like it.....

Again this car can sit for days or weeks and people don't even if its there... I even kept the windows down alittle just in case. Also there was a time when the remote was'nt even "remotely" close to it and it still found a way to lock itself.....
