    Door edge guard

    I've been unable to find the door edge guard that fits my 98 trans am door. all the edge guards i.ve found are not the right shape. any suggestions ?

    Not sure I have ever seen an F-body with door edge guard. You are talking about the vertical edge, back of the door, right?

    You might have to look into the clear plastic trim that the parts stores sell. If I remember correctly, they're trim-to-fit.

    Issue is probably due to the fact that we have plastic doors and the edges are thicker than a sheet metal door.

    THEY are thicker. they are "L" shaped instead of the more common "U" shaped
