door adjustment

Hey guys,

I've noticed the past week or so, that my door will pop open kind of, or unlatch itself , if i dont close the door really hard. I'm thinking its the metal piece that latches onto the handle on the car. Has this happend to anyone else? and how would you go about adjusting this?

1st thing, try taking your latch and soaking it down with WD40, then after that use some white lithium grease in it... If that doesn't work then I'd replace it

I sorta had the same thing going on. My hinge was making a loud popping noise every time I open or close. I took some one's suggestion about using the white lithium grease and it works. Only 4 bucks for a spray can @ O'Reilly's. I also sprayed a little into the lock latch to help it get to function properly to. It was starting to hang up on my passenger side.
