Summit and Jegs carry repair parts for the B&M Shifters. B&M does rebuild work but usually charge a flat fee regardless of what needs done, look up there phone number on their web site. I noticed on a couple of forums there were complaints like yours and it was related to one of the springs on the driver's side falling out. Usually solved by opening up the shifter and putting the spring back in place. Good luck. Assuming you have a 4 speed Quick Silver I found the install directions on the B&M site here http://files.dpbrands.com/bm/instructions/80683.pdf if that is not what you have, all of the other guides are listed here http://www.bmracing.com/downloads/

    Good luck
