Did Transmission go out??
before my car warms up I can drive my car and shift through all the gears just fine but once it's completely warmed up I lose all my gears. Won't shift up and the rpms just climb without the car pulling at all.
When pressing the gas both before and after the car warms up I can hear this ringing noise in the front of the car.
Transmission fluid is fine and no check engine light is coming on when any of this happens.
any ideas on what this is? guessing I need a new transmission or get it rebuilt

Have you looked at your hydraulic fluid for your clutch? A ringing noise could be the throwout bearing.

Forgot to add that this was a Automatic and don't think I have a clutch (don't know to much about transmissions) but if I do how can I check the fluid?

friend of mine did this and it was the trans clutches burned up. Hope this is not your case though. Good luck.

Deciding on a transmission shop(between Coleman's and locally owned) now and was wondering what are some performance parts I could ask the shop for when doing my rebuild?

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
We need to know what you intend with the car before parts can be recommended. A drag car would want different parts than a daily driver. While a DD can use race car parts it can get expensive.
So, what do you intend?

for sure no matter what.......you want a beast sun shell ....this is a MUST! a hardened corvette inputshaft ...then you have your bands and clutches etc which depend on your usage...personally i would send it in to Finish Line Transmissions ...

My intentions are to keep it a DD and the car would see the strip maybe 5 times a year. if my bigger gears(4:10) and my stall(3k) can benefit from this any then that would be great

4:10 gears are pretty tall gears for an auto
You might want to reconsider that choice and go with 3.73's

They were already installed when I got the car along with the stall. I don't mind them though
