    cutting out

    my 02 35thle seems to be missing or cutting out at idle speeds; and also when going to give it gas at low speeds it feels choppy and then it smoothes out. thanks for your help great site.

    Is it throwing any codes? If so, post them up or check the code list under the "General Help" stickies.

    Otherwise, the first thing I would do is clean your MAF and IAC. You can buy a specialized MAF cleaner made by CRC at just about any parts store. If you utilize an oiled cotton gauze air filter (ie. K&N) they are known to contamintate the MAF sensor wires and cause problems. Let us know what you find.

    no check engine lights have come on yet.. the last time i cleaned the maf was late june 2009. im going out now to see if it drives anybetter. maybe the problem is from it sitting all winter ive only driven it 3 times since out of storage..

    yeah maybe you should run through a tank of gas and get some fresh gas in there.

    filled it up yesterday suncoco 94 octane; almost halftank now still is choppy same symptons....

    Still no codes? How about a vacuum leak -- maybe the PCV system where it plugs into the intake?

    didn't scan for any codes.. hopefully tommrow after work i can get that done.

    hooked the scanner to it today... no codes whatsoever my mechaninc is saying it could be a bad plug... he also said try some fuel injector cleaner..

    hooked the scanner again today and got misfire cylinder# 2... i think the code was something like p0302... took the wire off tested for resiatiance took the plug out it looked like it had a lot of carbon deposit on it cleaned it put it back in the car ran alot better.. also checked for fuel pressure it was between 58-60.. so now where going to change all the plugs.. i just had the plugs changed not even a year ago and there already bad..
