yeah, post back up when you get a second opinion. I have my stock panhard bar in the shed.
I figure between me and Mr. Luos we could probably build a stock car minus a quarter panel or two.

for a $3500 repair, they must be talking about the engine k-member. i have my stock one sitting at my shop. i swapped to a tubular k-member and arms.

The car sits "sideways"? I hate to be the negative-Nancy, but maybe it's a bent sub-frame. That would justify the low cost of the car and the exhorbitant repair bill. Let us know what you find out.
