    Courtesy lights stuck on??

    Anybody know what might cause courtesy lights to stick on (the ones in the rear view mirror)

    All doors and hatch closed securely, no key in ingnition.

    push them to the "off" position

    turning them off was the first thing I tried.....they are "on" even tho the button is not pressed in.....They seem stuck in the mode when you turn off the car????

    Might be the timer or the dimmer that controls them, Not sure where it is exactly though. Try pulling the power for it and resetting the computer.

    that is what it sounds like to me. the light does stay on for a couple secs after you close the door though. if you need it off all night just pull the fuse until you get it fixed so it doesnt drain the battery.

    this may be obvious, but did u make sure the dimmer switch is not pushed all the way up in the on position

    Yeah I did that once. I started checking all of the fuses &
    once I figured out what had happened I felt like an idiot.
