    Corvette goes dead

    I have a 93 vette 6 speed i have put a new igintion module on it new coil and has a opti spark about 6 months old you can be driving about 20 mins or so and it cuts out sometimes it will crank afterwards and run a few more mins sometimes you have to wait A few hours and its fine again....any ideas?

    Any codes ? You have the first gen ODB sustem so you will need to get the right scanner if you have codes. I was also thinking about a clogged fuel filter or vapor lock. Good luck.

    It dont loose fuel it looses fire ..it has no codes i have a snap on scanner with obd1 plug

    those opti's are a notorious pain in the ass.....not to mention expensive. My bet is the opti....again. Water pump leaking any by chance?

    Naw water pump is fine and its losing fire at the coil so it dont even make it to the opti....i think it might be a short in the wiring somewere but makes no since because it only does it after you drive it for a while
