    cooling fans aren't working

Ive got a 98 z28 that ive had for a couple months now abd it's been having some cooling issues. the temp gauge usually sits at 100 until I hit traffic then climbs to 210 and the. Low coolant light comes on. Im thinking it could b a sensor but I really don't know. I swapped a hypertech 160 thermostat in and still having problems. I didn't realize the fans were not working until after I did the thermostat but I don't think it was from the swap. Any ideas?
Also im thinking about doing a Trans cooler to. I have a gauge and when im going above 50 sits around 160 but when im below that it gets above 210. I'm guessing it would b from the fans but are those temps dangerous? It might have a shift kit but for sure no stall

Have you checked your fan relays or swapped them to see if they're the culprit? Have you checked your coolant temp sensor to see if it's damaged or the wiring leading to the sensor?

I haven't tried the relays but I will. Whay relays would be ok to swap? I looked at the temp sensor and it looked fine so does the wiring

You need to look under the hood at the fuse panel and look for what are the designated relay. Then you will have to look around the fuse block for a similar relay and pull that and remove the fan relay and insert the other relay in its place and run the car to see if the fans kick on.

I will try that and see how it goes.
I think I should have my fans set around 160 since I have a 160 thermostat now. I think the car has been tuned but I want to have it done again to see what has already been done and I know there can be improvements

I just went and checked out the relays. the fan relays for 1 and 2 are the same and fan 3 is different. which ones should I switch?
I don't know if it makes a difference but when i got the car the a/c system was ripped out. could that have caused this?

Check with your tuner. Something could have been missed or incorrectly adjusted during the previous tune.
