Confused!
Ok, I know I'm about to get killed for this question, but I have to ask. I am confused. What and where is the EGR located? I feel so stupid!

Your car shouldn't have an EGR, being a 2002. On cars equipped with an EGR, there is a pipe running from the passenger side exhaust manifold into the EGR valve, then from the valve piping runs into the intake manifold behind the throttlebody.
See #12.

Custom Swirly Black- 2001 WS6 M6
To add to the #12,
"it also helps GM pass emissions and isn't really needed for 'performance'."

To add for any v6 guys whom may look @ this thread..
All 3800-II f-bodies retained the EGR through 2002.
It's located opposite the LS1 on the drivers side.

Yep. A buddy of mine also set me straight. He has an 01 WS6, and he told me the same thing. Thanks all of you who have shared your knowledge.

Also OP on here if you get slammed for asking a tech question let one of us tech or mod guys know and we will address it with that individual. WE here are not like the other LS1 site that the first answer out of everyone's mouth is "use the search button."

Scott's right. There's pretty much no such thing as a stupid question here. We're all learning, some are just farther along than others.
