The PCM will 'reset' in the areas that are learned (fuel trims, idle trims, spark trim, etc.). But, it will still keep the tables that are updated with your tune. The way people lose their dyno tunes is when they take the car into the dealer for service and they decide to give you the most recent 'update' for your car. The full flash they do to your PCM will overwrite your tune. Because mistakes can happen, I highly advise anyone who gets their car tuned to have the tuner email you the file just in case something happens.
