Coil springs, rear.
Hey guys, took my 98 T.A. out after the horrible winter here in Pittsburgh and noticed the left rear seemed lower than the right rear. What I mean is, there was more space between the tire and the fender on the drivers side than on the passenger side. I changed shocks and although it improved the ride greatly didnt correct the car leaning. So my question is, if I put on new coils do you think this could be the problem? If no, what else could I chang to fix this. Its not out MUCH but definitely noticeable. Looks like crap. Anyone else have this problem? 80,000 mile doesnt seem like many miles for the coils to get weak but????? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

You could unbolt the shocks, lower the rear, and swap the coils to see.
Could even install some air bags with separate valve stems.

Yeah I figured that it should allow for drivers weight compensation, but that doesnt really make a difference when I am driving, it feels like its leaning to the right. I will have to do a inspection on the coil to see if it may not be seated in the pocket and may just put new coils on for the hell of it. Pontiac service said it wasnt uncommoin for the coils to get weak after 12 years. And I never lowered the car, its all original. The only thing I may do is put the K-N filter in. Thanks for the replys. Will Try to get some pics posted. PEACE!!!!
