    Coil choices

Could anyone give me some input on the MSD coils for the LS1. I am going to replace mine and was not sure to invest in these or buy the stock GM coils. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

unless you have an abundance of mods done to your car its not worth the money to get the msd coils. Shit dude with kind of money you would be better of saving a little more and put gears it. (dont do it if your basicly stock)

Buy if you're replacing them anyway...then i'd get the msd's....either way it's gonna be expensive. I just hope you're not shotgunning a ignition problem and hoping it's the coils

    coils

Thanks for the replies. I have alot done to the new motor. It is an iron 408, 15lb. procharger set up, fully done stage 3 heads (333/261@600) custom cam, all forged and billet internals. I am going to be spinning up to a little over 7,000RPM and have heard the stock coils start to break up short of 7,000RPM. Everything else is brand new and was just curious if it was worth the upgrade or stay with the stock ones. The stock ones on my other LS1 are starting to rust up (The Brackets). I also heard of some people having problems with the MSD, any truth to that? I called MSD and they told me they are in the works of coming out with a computer set up designed to work with these coils. That is why there is an extra input on the side of the MSD coils. Any thoughts? Thanks
