    Cobra

Hi everybody, i was last on here about 2 years ago, getting to know a bit about LS1 engines, at the time i was building my Gardner Douglas cobra replica, this is now complete and on the road, i was trying to put some pics on, but cant seem to download them, although it does tell me that i cant add attatchments, or im not doing something right, trying to download them. one question i have though, is what is the normal running temp of the LS1 engine?mine is running at between 95-105 degrees C. on a day like to-day the temp is 25C,outside the motor runs realy well, it was originaly in a 2000 Camaro SS, that i bought from Ohio, and had shipped over, if i get this photo thing sorted i will post some pics. cheers to all, and a happy easter to you all.

http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=138199 - this will help you post pics.

IIRC, the stock t-stat in a ls1 is 190°f, and the fans are set above that. So I would expect temps around that depending on engine load.

I think 105 degrees C is too hot. That is about 221 degrees farenheit my car never hits above 200 degrees farenheit.

thats actually fairly normal. The fbody low speed fans don't come until 226 degrees, high speed comes on at 234 degrees Fahrenheit
