i had the SLP Quad Tip CME exhaust on my old '95 z28. i swore up and down on my '00SS i wanted a CME exhaust on it. honestly, i think Camaros look badass with no tips. my SS has no tips and ends before the rear axle, no turn down.

i think you cant go wrong with either route you go.

That's what I'm doing on my wifes car, but you don't have to stop the exhaust at the rear to do it. Mufflex makes a nice 3 1/2 inch catback system with the muffler in the stock location and a hidden tailpipe that you can't see from behind the car.

true, but from behind, all you see from under the car are (2) 4" black holes from the SLP LM resonators im running. ill have to get a pic. looks mean as hell, and with the TSP TD's im running, it sounds like a NASCAR...lol

for inspection, i just slide on some extentions to make the exhaust clear the rear of the car/passenger area, and remove once i pass. inspectors think my resonators are the cats since no codes get tossed...hehe

If you can tolerate the noise both outside and inside the cabin that's great. Fine for a toy that just comes out on occasion. It's not something I'd want to live with day in and day out though, vacation trips, etc...which is why the full system with hidden tips gets my vote.

Oh, I agree with you on this. If I was to DD the car again, the exhaust system would be swapped to what I had before the TD's, or I would modify the TD's to a similar fashion of what you are talking about to quiet it down some.

One other nice thing about a CME is that it cuts down on a little more noise as well. Those last 2 bends right before the tips seem to do a lot to smooth and quite a car down a bit....it sure did on mine.

Here's my car with the CME blended (from the LS1.com calendar shoot)

It got made, I've seen it.

Yup, I've seen many of the different valances out at our Friday night meet's at Bob's Big Boy. From CME's to dual/dual valances (like these):

And even a fully blank one to hide tips altogether incase you want to run dumps and hide them. (not my pic, a site pic)

Another friend of mine even did this set up about 3 years ago:

    Thanks everyone for the replies!
I like the tips on the z on the last pix.
I wanted to get those for my Z.

On the stripes I love how they look. But like one of u said.
When they are done right. I seen some and they look bad. The ones on the pics you guys post. Look really nice
Usually they look ugly how the end on the front bumper looks.
I don't knw if u guys knw what I'm talking about.

I was thinking. Get them on silver, flat black, or Red. The badges on my car are red. But red stripes can look funny. Or what u guys think?
Silver. My car has nothing silver on it.
Flat blk u can't really see em. Which is good and bad.

One more thing. Where can I get them?
Are they hard to take em off?

Yeah I think red wouldn't look that good.
    It's probably to much.
And i really like the red emblems on the car. So i think I'll get them flat black instead.
The rims are goin to be flat black as well.
