Anyone know any tricks to clear up headlights on a 2000 camaro. they are very rough to the touch, almost sandblasted looking. thanks for the help.

    Buy a new set.

I have screwed with mine so many times. I have tried various products that are supposed to fix them...I have sanded with every grit of sandpaper until my arms fell off, I have polished and polished and polished. They never looked new again and sometimes the haze came right back a could weeks later.

I gave up and bought a new set. There are many to choose from on eBay.

When I had my stang the headlights were all foggy so one day I sanded them down a lot to the point of looking almost new, but a few months later they fogged up again. I later swapped them out for ones on a rental car, but I guess thats not an option with the camaro.

Sorry to sidetrack, do like up above, sanding and stuff is only temp. Get some new headlights if possible.

You can always at least try to polish them before going for the new ones.

Link for how to polish them up that might help...
