Chrome ZR1 wheels with red chevy emblem faiding in the middle

I want to know how to completely make this painted on chevy emblem go away with out damgeing the chrome gloss. I want to but my on emblem in the middle but dont wanna buy new center caps when yhe ones i have are faided and just need to get the rest of the unfaided part off. Thanks!!

i use turtle wax rubbing compound on my chrome bumper on truck with no problems. but lightly. but http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/vinyl/vinyl.htm makes a cover over sticker, i know that there for the zr1 s but still might work and he can make anything for you custom
