These bumpstops are cheap and work 10 times better IMO for the DD
I still dont understand how new bumpstops can work better or make a "difference"

I'm picturing you romping your car jumping it out on the trail...."WOW! My new bump stops really help! They feel way better!"

I'm afraid to check mine. Knowing the last owner, they are either:

    a.) Worn out completely

b.) Replaced with wads of notebook paper

c.) That entire area of the car somehow vanished

d.) All of the above happened at some point

Daaayyyaaam. I guess so. You'd have to be Bo Dukin' that thing to hit those bump stops.

I've never even come close to touching the bump stops on any 4th gen, even with family and groceries in the back. I can't even forsee that being a problem Do you have that thing down in the weeds or something???

O.K. guuys I'll let you in on a little secret. WS6s and SS had a different bumpstop than normal TAs and Camaros. The WS6 and SS have a polyurehtane bump stop from the factory upgrade at ASC along with the hoods and such. The factory piece is a dense foam material that is subject to rotting and actually turning to a soft mush that does in fact get gooey and sticky especially in Texas where I've seen plenty of gooey ones and not a SS WS6 problem yet.
And bumpstops do in fact work with out using it like a 69' Charger ( aka Bo Dukin) When you hit a pothole or concrete patch in the road your bumpstops will go to work. Railroad tracks and steep driveways even worse. When you climb into a steep driveway it stops the axle from continuing into the upper side of the quarter as well as prevents shocks from bottoming out and causing more expensive damage.

It shouldn't be that severe. With both of my SS's at stock ride height my bump stops are clear of the rearend by at least 3-4 inches. A simple bump in the road won't make contact,,,,if they touched that much then you would have a car that would ride worse than my 1 ton chevy truck.
There are some pretty steep driveways, speed bumps, parking lots, around here, (which is why I won't lower them) even getting in a funny angle entering a driveway, (which I do most of the time anyway) it would have to be extreme to hit the bump stops on mine.

Now a lowered car is an entirely different ball game though.
