yes, if you remove the cats your SES light will stay on...

however if you were to get a tune, you can delete those error codes and the SES light would not come on...

I would just remove the sensors {in the rear} and get the codes tuned out. That would be the best way. Sims are junk, I'm working through that issue right now. You could try a non fouler witch will just pull the 02 sensor away from the exhaust flow but leaves them in place so you shouldn't get a {SES} light. If you go the non fouler route then you'll have to drill the tip of the fouler out to fit the o2 sensor in it.

Your 02 sims plug into the rear harness on both sides then just zip tie them out of the way, They work too keep your light out, but if that doesnt bother you than you can wait until you get a tune. I used sims for about a year wit no issues and no check engine light, then i got the car tunned and the cats deleted.

I cant stand the Check Engine Light on the Trans Ams. Ive had 7 of them over the last 12 years and the check engine light always comes on. In my opinion I would rather just disconnect the bulb to the light and use my ears to tell me when the car is having a real problem. Sometimes the gas cap can cause that the happen also. Otherwise im guessing there are many factors that can cause it to come on.
