    Charging system issues?

    Did I miss anything?
I have the same symtoms and I do have a leaking power steering pump ,is it to late for my alternator or can I stop the leak and the alternator still be good?

The shop I bought the alternator from says my battery is to small and I need more cranking amps for a 200 amp alternator. And I looked at the alternator and no power steering Fluid on it. The alternator charges good when the engine is cold , only when the engine gets at normal operationing temp. it starts dropping the charge at a idle.

^^^I don't think it would matter too much what size battery you put in a car. Alternator charging is kind of "on demand" thing. You could put a tiny 12 volt jetski battery in there and it should still charge like normal. Why the 200 amp alternator?
