Charging Issue
Ok... so I've had a charging issue on my car for around a year now... my alternators have had the tendency to blow after I pop the clutch and do a burnout or two... since the very last time I replaced the alternator, it has had even more problems, NOW when I'm driving, the amp guage flickers, it will go all the way to the red and then come back up and go back down constantly, causing all my lights to dim (basically it's having power surges). I've replaced the connector to the alternator to no avail. any suggestions?? I'm thinking of replacing the alternator AGAIN!!!

most likely, it's the alternator. there are several threads about this. read through them and maybe you'll hit on the problem you're having.
