Can you hear it (fuel pump) running, and test rail pressure just to be sure?

Same thing with my 96 Trans am

Had the same thing happen to me, changed out everything that I thought was wrong. Ended up being the Crank Positon Sensor. It stated by the car shutting off while driving then I'd have to let it sit for awhile to start, then it would only go about a mile and shut off again.

First thing I would do is check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail as Steven mentioned.

And not to state the ever so obvious, but also make sure there is fuel in the car

^This. You should see around 58 psi at the rail.

    I think he's a V6 bud.

    The 3800-II in f-body with 22 lb. injectors runs @ ~ 48-55 psi..

    With a 3-10 lb loss @ idle.

Good catch. Didn't notice that, and my mind is usually set to the LS1 standards.

I knew it was a tad lower in the V6's being I've checked mine before when I had it, but couldn't recall the exact pressure or I would have posted it. I knew Smitty would have my back there

Have some air in the fuel line that purged out?

No matter, glad it's back up and running for you.
