    Change oil light

I have a 00 Trans Am and I changed the oil about 1000 miles ago. I put Mobil 1 Fully synthetic in with Lucas oil stabilizer. Just checked levels and its fine. On my way home from work yesterday I got the CHANGE OIL light on my dash and it hasn't gone out. Any ideas?

Two methods to reset. It's driven by engine cycles so don't worry - it doesn't indicate a problem.

Press the mileage reset button for 3 + seconds or if you want to keep your mileage - turn the ignition to on position, depress the accelerator three times.

maybe not, maybe he does have it and doesn't even know enough to open the book in the glove box (assuming its there) why call the guy a jack ass??? hes telling him where the information is located to solve his problem. think outside the box and assume that people know nothing and start at the beginning, like looking in the manual. post script; there is a search option on this web site that would answer his question also .
