Catalytic Converter Removal
My converter is clouged and I was going to buy another one but I was thinking about just getting rid of it.
I heard thats a problem with a Ls1 though and I have to buy something else when I take off converter.
What do I do? whats my options?

I don't know for sure, but the only problem I see is that there could be an O2 censor near it, which would cuase your check engine light to come on.
I don't know how strict emission laws are up there, but if they do the smell test or a visual check you're screwed. Best bet is to either gut the cat, or buy a high-flow one.

If you're under 80K it's covered under the federal emissions warranty.

check warranty and if not covered you can replace or put some lt headers on it or get some cat bypass pipes which you can get from thunderracing but you will also need 02 simulators these will make the computer think the cats are still in place.

if not covered under warranty, remove and punch all the material out, the reinstall. you will get a SES light for P0420 and P0430 those can be taken care of by one of two ways. either buy o2 simms or have someone delete the codes
