Car Whistling like forced induction????
Every time i rev my car up, even in park or in gear it whistles as it revvs up...like a supercharger, so i brought it down to autozone and got it checked, said something was wrong with my maf sensor and there was a misfire in cylinder #7.......anyone ever have this problem or know what to do?? I do not want to drive it, as it will not fix its self and will only get worse....thanks

Nah, its not a ticking noise like an exhaust leak...its more like a damn supercharger, kind of loud and some people have actually asked if i have a supercharger hehe....i mean it doesnt bother me i just wanna know if it needs to be fixed or if not will anything blow up on me??

Did you put in a throttle body air foil? My 96 would whistle pretty loudly when sucking in air after I added that. I would take the MAF off and clean it as well as the throttle body, and look for any obstructions or something there that would make it whistle. I agree that the plug is probably not related. Sometimes people are lazy and skip a plug or 2, or mabye they just need changed. Could also be the plug wire, possibly arcing?

Nah its not arcing....my 96' used to sound like it had a badass exhaust leak, i mean i would drive it and it would just be like TICK TICK TICK TICK...so i assumed it was an exhaust leak until i opened the hood and it looked like someone was shooting roman candles around in there hehe....so its not the wires, it drives just fine, actually i think its a freak and came factory with over 300rwhp .... roast the tires in 2nd gear with auto =D...completely stock guys so it wouldnt be any additions i have made (yet)...

Check the airbox and all intake ducting. If there is a bad connection or a hole somewhere that might cause a whistling. If you are getting a misfire code you probably need plugs and wires. If they are original it would be some good maintenence to do them now.
