    1999 Trans Am WS6 Convert

    Cant find the freakin oil leak

    Hello to all- my first post so please bear with me, i have an 99 conv. WS6, it has a long story behind it but my problem now is that I have an oil leak that looks like it is coming from somewhere behind the intake towards the drivers side, any idea's would be Appreciated By The Way Very Cool Site

    Oil pressure sending unit
    Get a mirrior and take a look back there and see if you can pinpoint the leak.

    Just be careful reaching back there -- it's not too difficult to snap the sender off. Here's a pic of the sender I just swiped off the net:

    100% correct, mine was cracked and leaking, and was replaced when I had the cam sensor unit go out on me.

    Hey guys you where right, once I removed the intake found oil all over beack there, thats the good news now for the bad news, got everything back together, test drive about 3-4 miles each way to gas station no problem everything looked And sounded good. When I went to leave for work a few hours later started up and heard a loud knocking sound, sounds like a rod knock. What the F**K. Any ideas?

    Did you tighten all your intake bolts??? Did you forget to connect all your sensors and wires to the BACK of the intake?? Check there.....
