Can't adjust where HVAC blows out

I'm gonna refer to an older thread I started some time back. I deleted the AIR mechanizm off the car and was told i coul basically yank the junk from the first photo. Well, in doing so I capped off the line "B" in the second photo. NOW i can't change the HVAC from floor/vent/windshield. i'm thinking it's related. SO...what needs to get put back together? I noticed there is a small vacuum port that leads out of the back of the manifold which i put a cap on-can i just rout that to "B" in the second photo and fix my issue? or Does the item in photo 1 have more to do with this? I also have a loose wiring harness that would go to that location just dangling free-i'm fearing i made a big mistake...

Air lines...this is a continuation from an older thread. I had noticed a broken air line (A) and it never threw a code, so i followed the line (B first pic to B second pic) and put a cap on it at that joice-is that ok?

You just need the vacuum line going to the control switch in front of the A/C. Make sure the vacuum lines going the air system are capped and you should be fine.

Can you elaborate a bit?
To clearify; I completely threw away the air system and that item labeled "C" a few weeks ago.

The small hose that comes through the fire wall, by the AC box, needs to some-how, hook up to the small vacuum port on the rear of the intake manifold.

Look through my post and threads and you will find the answer. There is a small hose that is right behind the manifold that you will need to connect.

I can't tell from the pics.... The heater selector is a vacuum switcher. You need to find the tube that comes out the to the engine compartment, by the AC box, or behind the ecm, and hook it to a vacuum source.
Yours looks different than what my 98 had... But, you should be able to make it work.

When I had to plug mine in the intake was in already so I had to feel for it. But that could be it.

Had the same problem several years ago and yes the previous post are right. Look for a vac line and hook it up.

In the first picture, the AIR vacuum hose labeled B tees off of the HVAC vacuum hose behind the intake. Hook up the HVAC vacuum hose to the back of the intake and plug the tee where the AIR vacuum hose tees off.
