Calling all mechanics, problem with my DD!
My DD is a 1992 Corsica 3.1L V6. I already know the problem and would like to fix it. It use to die at lights and I unplugged the Converter Lockout solinoid which fixed it. I am getting 30.5 MPG Highway but would like to squeeze a little bit more out of it. I came across a new sensor for free that works, and my question is this..... How do I get the solinoid out of the tranny, is it screwed it, popped in? I can turn it a little bit both ways but am kind of lost. Hopefully the tranny doesn't have to come apart. Any help would be appreciated.

1999 Formula WS6 M6-sold- 2001 Silverado Z71
You finally gonna fix that thing Dennis? You have to remove the trans side cover then you can remove the solenoid from the auxiliary valve body.

Yup, want to get every bit out of it. I was afraid the cover would have to come off. Might just leave it, since the sensor that is replacing mine, is still in the GF's junk car. Was going to pull everything that would work before we scrap it but don't feel like pulling two covers
