Not unless you own a 2002, that's the only year F-body that had a cabin filter.

Can't help ya on that one.

Just today I was searching the 'net to see if my car even had one, turns out the '02 cars were the only ones factory equipped with one. Not sure if they can retrofitted to one of the earlier 4th-gen F-body cars.

really? the 2002 F-bodies have a cabin filter? Are you sure? I haven't seen any way to access one let alone any type of housing for one

    Here's the filter:

Different GM cars that it fits:

I'm going to dig into my car and try to replace mine as soon as I can buy a cabin filter, my car has a little under 22K on it now and I'm sure it's past time for replacement.

I would assume it's somewhere behind the glovebox. I just replaced the one on my '06 Civic and it took all of 2 minutes to do the job, simply dropped the glovebox/door unit down on its hinges by pressing in two tabs and slid the old one out and put the new filter right in.

Somehow I think replacing the one on the the T/A won't be quite that easy, I haven't had the pleasure of laying down under the dash with a flashlight to take a look just yet.

I do have a set of Factory Service manuals here, but unfortunately they're for the 2001 F-body cars (bought them used from a friend at work who had sold his '01 Z-28) and they don't show any cabin filter like I would expect an '02 manual set would.

Like said above only the 02.

The really screwed up thing is my 02 Z06 does not have a filter only the 04 model as far as I can tell.

Let us know how the install of one goes if you decide to try and put one in.

Why would GM just put them on the last model year, doesn't list Camaro either? I doubt they're correct.

becasue GM fixed a lot of things over time with the F-body just like any other car. Also im sure these would work in a 98-01 but not sure if they would have a trap door to get them in.

FWIW the grand prix 97-03 is under the windshield base plastic cowl and never came with one from the factory, but the Buick did so you can buy it and put it right in because the tray is already there. The filter sat over the blower motor box. I had to remove the wipers and then the cowl to access the area.
