Bypass traction control?
I have a 01 ws6 and was wondering how i could get rid of the traction control setup all together? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I am guessing you don't like pushing the ASR button to the off position each time you start the car?
There is a way to have traction control always off instead of on when you start the car. I would have to search to find the thread which talks about it. I've seen it before though.

Is there something wrong with it? Or are you just tired of the warning light when it's off?
Oh and welcome to LS1.com..

Well the original rear end (automatic) out of a 99 doesn't have the same design and the car will start to go then stops because of the traction control so I want to get rid of it all together.

So you have a 99 rear end in a 2001 WS6?
A 99 is a 3-channel system is it not? 01 has a 4-channel system. Did you convert over the wheel hubs and everything? 4-channel would have the wheel speed sensors at each wheel and the 3-channel would have it on the pumpkin.
I didn't think these were interchangeable.

They make a module that for around $50 reverses the operation of the switch. It is off when you start the car and only turns on when you push the button.

You can bypass the TCS unit that is located behind the battery.
All you need it a non TCS Throttle cable and Cruise Control cable. Then just swap the ones that go to the TCS unit with the new ones that go directly to the Throttlebody.Craig
