Break problem on an old Ford

My pops has a 79 F150. I changed all the breaks front and back along with the master cylinder, after driving it a few miles the front breaks tend to get stuck. Its like the caliper doesn't retract. Its fine when you first start driving but then afterwards they don't. Like at the moment, if I put it in gear the truck just stays put, you have to give it gas for it to move. WTF?? Bad Master?

Maybe air in the system? What fluid did you use to fill the master?

Check the Vaccume line for the booster is connected and not clogged or dry rotted and leaking..

Could be bad calipers.. Maybe a hard line got kinked..

Did you get all the air out of the system for sure?

    good luck!

I did a proper bleeding of the system I did have a lot of air coming out but kept bleeding it till a steady stream of fluid came out.

I just checked the master cylinder, it is fu*king hot!!!

Im going to swap this out first and see if that is the problem. I don't think this should be hot at all.

Sounds like you boiled the brake fluid and the heat got to the master.

You're going to have to jack up the truck and spin the wheels to see which one is binding.

Clogged compensation port in the master would be my guess
