Brake light switch is bad or misadjusted. Or maybe a blown fuse.

The diagram is on the panel when you pull it off next to the driver's door on the side of the dash and on the lid under the hood for each fuse panel.

you may want to try cleaning the sockets.
On my 99 z28 I had to take the socket plug out to get a thorough baking soda clean on it.
Even though the bulb is in tight etc. The connections usually get crud on them inside and on the bottom. I used to fool with mine all the time. You would get it working then the darn thing would go out if you sneezed. If you look closely there are to little tabs that hold the inner socket piece into the assemble. I hate taking it out because I don't have three arms, lol... You have to press in both tabs and wiggle it out. You will see the connections on the bottom and may be corroded.
In the end I went to the parts store and bought new sockets. I got tired of cleaning and never knowing when they would go out.
I clean mine once and they lasted for several months. I think my down fall was hitting them with sand paper to get the crud off. Big mistake, makes it corroded faster the next time around, doh.
you can try the other suggestions, but i wouldn't pass up a chance to double check the bottom of the metal connection, .

Ok.....but now you have to figure out why the fuse blew, there has to be a problem for one to blow.

glad to hear it was a simple fuse. I'm not sure what could cause it. Maybe a surge. I know when the regulator in my alternator went out it really shortened the life of my battery. I wonder if there is something causing a surge. Isn't that what a fuse is for, , protect the circuit from too much juice. I am positive someone will have better ideas than me.
I don't think a bad ground would cause a fuse to blow.

I hope you find the cause, . Nothing worried me more than driving a shiny Camaro with faulty lights. That is asking for the law to pull you over for a good one.
