Brakes: What to use on the Rotors?

I just recently installed a new set of rotors and they began to rust pretty fast. I called the company and they told me they would send me out a new seat of rotors to replace them. Due to the fact that they stated it wouldn't rust before I bought them because of a anti-rust agent sprayed on them...

My question is, when I get the rotors, what can I use on them to clean them and what can I use to prevent from rusting again? I really don't want to paint them.... Anyone have the anwer?

what part is rusting?

the slots on the rotors and everything else. the only thing not rusted is the smooth part of the rotor, where the pads touch...

do they have a zinc coating on them or is it just bare metal?

Clean them off really well with brake cleaner and then spray them with clearcoat. The clear will burn off the swept area, but stay in the holes/slots. Mine have held up, but it's not a daily-driver...
