Sebring Silver- 2000 Camaro SS (R.I.P.)
Brakes on a budget
I need brakes, but I can't afford a complete Baer or Wilwood system. My calipers are fine so all I need to replace are the pads and rotors all around. I've heard the Autozone rotors are good - can someone confirm that? As for pads, I was wondering if the ceramic pads were worth the extra cost.
Any info would be great.-- J. Bennett

If you cant afford too pick up some slotted rotors then im sure chinazone's rotors will work. Make sure you get some type of warranty with them.
I would reccomend ceramic pads bc of the factors of squealing and dusting.
The make less noise when braking and produce lest dust so all around a better pad. Again make sure you get ones with a warranty just incase.

If money is an issue have you thought about just having your stockers turned? Less than $10 a piece usually. Just an idea.

Quick Silver- 2002 Z06
I have ran the Autozone cheapies and they do work fine for the most part. Every semi hard/quick cuz you saw a cop stop at 65+ eats there life into warp ville quite quick. But if you keep from that and treat them like you love em they are great for the budget they require.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not completely broke, just cheap. I just want the best value for whatever I buy.
BTW, GM rotors suck and I want new ones.

I Went With Power Stop Cross Drilled Rotors. $100 Bucks A Rotor Though, Don't Know If That Fits Your Budget Or Not. Only Thing I Don't Like About Them Is When Your Hard Into Braking They Roar Loud. My Stock Rotors Were Warpped At 25,000

always dirty- 2013 Ram 2014 Caddy ATS
i put on a set of baer stock replacement rotors that are drilled. they cost less than 300 for the pair. i also used ceramic pads and everything is holding up well. they seem to be much better than the stockers with less fade and brake dust.

I used a cheap set from kragen about 15k ago, they get abused and i've had no warping. cdns rotors are a waste of beer money.
