white- 1999 trans am
brakes
everytime i brake and let off i hear a claping sound like metal on metal it started e few weeks ago it has brand new hawk pads and resurfaced rotors only like 3 moths on the tune up any one know what it is

Left or right side? May want to pull the tires off and take a look, could be alot of things, check out all your nuts and bolts and make sure there good and tight and nothing looks out of place.

im going to do that i think i heard the claping sound when i shifted too im not sure could it be a braket to my tranny or something ?im going to have to look

Pewter- 2002 Camaro Z28
Sometimes the pads move in the caliper. Have you used these pads before? Caliper could also be loose and moving forward as it grips the rotor.
