brakes
ok so i just change the brake pads on my 98 z28 and now they squeak when i stop.....wtf.....help!

Did you put that gooey stuff around the metal contact points? Did they have plastic backing on the pads? They usually give u a lil pack of that stuff when you buy brakes at auto zone, well they dont give, they suggest it. It just keeps thing quiet. The pads themselves could be noisy too, depending on what type they are. I have EBC Yellow Stuff Pads and I love them, no issues at all. Goodluck with the squeak fix.

run them for coulpe miles for them to brake in to the old rotors, if they still do the same change your rotors IMO

Are the rotors in good shape? It doesn't take much to get them to squeak. Also, some pads will make noise until they brake in.

Did you apply the anti squeel to BACK of the pads? New rotors? Are the calipers hanging up?

iv had em for a week or two and they are still squeaking so im going to just get new rotors and that fixes it
