    Brake discs recommendations

Hi guys. I will need to replace my brakes pretty soon. I need new brake discs also. I use Hawk performance brake pads. I'm looking for suggestions and recommendations on new brake discs. Drilled or sloted or both? Stock looking ones? Should I keep using the same pads? The brake system in the car is stock. The car is a dialy driver. Thanks.

Althought the drilled and slotted rotors cetainly look cool, I really see no reason to spend the money on them for a non-track car. IMHO, you have more surface area on a stock rotor than a drilled and slotted one (absent an increase in diameter) and that is really what matters.

I will be upgrading to Hawk pads when ours do wear out -- they have always received very favorable reviews. How do you like yours?

I really want to get some brake discs that will not warp so much and easily. Hawk performance pads are great IMHO, I never had an issue with them. Where should I get the disc brakes from? Any sites? Or just locally?

I had issues with my stock rotors warping...had them turned a couple times. Then tried powerslots...warped those as well. Finally spent some extra money and got some Baer eradispeed (2-piece design) and haven't had a problem. If you are interested in saving some money on those, I'm actually selling mine because I am doing the CTS-v brake kit.
    PM if interested

I'm satisfied with the EBC dimpled/slotted rotors and Redstuff pads thus far, however there is some whooshing (that I expected) as the calipers pass the slots. A large factor in warping rotors is torquing lugs to different specs in an improper pattern. Don't guesstimate the torque specs. 100ft/lbs.
