The Alcast foundry (Alcast.com) is only a few miles from our El Segundo home office, so we stopped by to ask employee Niko Martillo about the casting process for the Step by Step column we did in the July 2013 issue. Alcast makes all sorts of industrial parts for fuel pumps, elevators, and even military applications, but these pieces in particular caught our eye.
