Bolt Ons?
Ok for one thing what does it mean when they say a Pontiac Trans Am LS1 Bolt On.
Money is not an issue with the exhaust!
The car is designed for the exhaust to go to one side of the car bit I want true duels.
Exhaust: If I was to get

And I want a flowmaster exhuast, what kind of modifications would I have to do to everything? Would I need to get a tune up after the exhaust system because it will flow different? The exhaust is 3 in and headers are collected to 3 obviously...
I would also want to get an electric cutout. Just on one side or should I go w/ both sides?
I'm also worried about the exhaust being 2 low to the ground. The car has no suspension mods.
Pictures or websites would be great!Last edited by TranzAm98; 10-12-2008 at 05:44 PM. Reason: 4 got information

Bolt on car means the simple bolt on things, like headers, intake etc, stuff you dont have to rip apart the engine.
Flowmaster exhaust is probably the worst flowing of all the brands but it sounds good( I have it) Its just a bit to robbing on power. But I also have a cutout on the I-pipe. A single cutout is good, two car make your car loose a ton of power until it hits higher RPMS. I would put that on the I pipe right before the axle and under the passenger area. You will have to get a tune, do you plan on keeping the emissions or not?

get ready for the haters refering to your choice of muffler company!!! i have a flowmaster super 40 and i like the way it sounds.
im not too much help but ive heard flowmaster 10 series? are what is recomended for a TD setup. i dont think you would need a tune after just exhaust but i could be wrong. other more experienced members could chime in anytime now.
i too, want an electric cutout. 1 or 2, as far as im concerned is personal preference regarding how loud you want your car. i will probally end up just getting 1 and sticking it at the end of my y pipe.
should have no clearence issues as far as hitting/rubbing ground. other than speedbumps i would imagine.

Luckily there is a spot just for the cutout on the end of the y-pipe/i pipe i can get to mine without jacking the car up easily.
