    Body shop help/opinion on hood

I posted this here for the high visibilty, .

I'm not a body shop person, I wish I was. I live near this location and thought this maybe an oportunity to change my factory hood for a Camaro SS hood. The hood is damaged. If the hood was fiber glass I would feel more comfortable asking a body shop to repair it. I know the Factory SS hoods where not fiber glass. So here comes the question.

Any body shop folks out there that could give me their opinion on this hood?

If you think about it a fiber glass hood shipped to my house runs about 450-500 bucks, then I have to send it to a shop for fit and paint. I don't know if this hood would be worth the money to rebuild the side that is damaged. My car is silver, so this would would be repainted as well.

I don't want to bother a local shop unless I feel the hood is worth the repair.

    Thanks.

not worth it too much damage you would have nearly as much in repairs as new and it would be weakened in the repair area.
