body gap needed 2000 SS

havent posted in a while so hello everyone. Anyways I backed up into my bosses pickup 3 weeks ago but luckily most all damage was the drivers side tailight and the finish fiberglass part that says camaro and some pushing in of the metal behind the finish panel. I spent 3 hours pounding straightening and tapping (I have taken 2 night courses of autobody so I sortof know what I am doing but I am not very proficient at it so it takes me a long time) and I couldnt quite get the body gaps to look right. I was wondering if someone could measure what there non wrecked body gaps were from the hatch part to the finish panel (the one that says camaro in large letters) cause mine looks way to big and I tried going around town to find a camaro and oddly enough I couldnt find one. Anyways if someone has the time and could measure that it would be a great help that way i know what the ballpark gap should be on a unwrecked camaro. Also has anyone done any adjusting on the hatch itself? Is there much adjustment on it and how tough is it? I think it may have been slightly pushed back towards the car. I didnt hit to hard but hard enough. TIA

The gap from the deck lid to the rear facia panel is wide - I just measured mine for you and it is 7/16 from the lip of the lid to the sill of the facia.
