    Question Blowing Sound?

There is a air sound coming from my engine area that sounds like when you have a hole in your tire and air is coming out.
    What could it be?
Its only doing it when the car is on.

Prob a vacuum leak, check all your hoses, the car won't nec. idle higher depends on whats off. Another tip is to look for a shinier than normal peice of metal or plastic that hasn't been dirtied since there was a hose on it. One way i found a vacuum leak on my iroc was with a 3 foot peice of pvc pipe. Hold it up to your ear and slowly move the other end around your engine bay, this will help you pinpoint where the hissing is coming from.

You can also use an old piece of garden hose

check your a.i.r. hoses that go to each exhaust manifold and make sure you haven't sprung a leak in one of those. Does the noise go away after the car warms up?

    You got it

It sounded like that area so i was feeling around and i put my finger under that tube and ended up covering a hole on the under side of it.
So I need a new one or is there a way I can seal it?
and is it really bad for the car to drive it like this? it probably effects gas miles but I only have to drive it like this until the end of the week

Perfect picture! This is exactly what I've found today. What is it called? Can I just pick up one of these at AutoZone and replace it easily myself? Could this be what has caused my SES light to come on?

    Any help?
    Thanks,
    Tom
