    blower motor problems

whats up guys/gals, im tryin to fix my g/fs blower motor. speeds 1-3 went out about a month ago but 4(high speed) still worked. but just last week four went out also. i looked it up online and found that many 2000 ford focuses have had this problem and they all just switched the blower motor resister and that fixed the problem. well i just replaced that today and still nothing. i figured if it was the blower motor itself with a working resister it would atleast hum and try and work with power going to it but there is no noise or anything. any ideas out there?

I'd try to hook up a multimeter to the power inputs for the blower and then watch what it does while working the switch through the settings.
That should help point to the switch if it is the switch.. Hope this helps.

well the problem is is that is located behind the glove box, so i have the box taken out already and my two arms can hardly fit in there let alone tools, flashlight etc. but like you said ill take a fluke to the prongs on the harness connecting to the motor

thread from a while ago but just a fyi, in the ford focus it turned out to be the switch that i diagnosed easily with smittros method(thanks). but also the same thing happened with my old mans ford freestyle (same exact symptoms)but his car just turned out to be the blower motor resister. both cars blowers running perfectly now
