Blinker not working - please confirm problem

    I have a 2002 SS.

When I turn signal stalk to the left I hear NO blinker ticking noise, see a solid left arrow in dash, left rear light is solid on, left front light is OFF.

When I turn the signal stalk to the right I hear blinker ticking noise, see blinking arrow in dash and both the front and rear lights blink.

When I turn on hazard blinking lights, I hear blinking noise, see both arrows blink in dash and the left front light does not come on, the other 3 lights blink.(I might have missed the left front light, need to check again)

Looked a little more carefully,,, are there two bulbs in the front left blinker? It appears as though the left front blinker has the outside bulb working when headlights or daytime runnning lights are on, but the bulb closer to the middle of the car never comes on or blinks like it does on the right front blinker.

Is this for sure a light bulb that needs replacing? Can it be a fuse? Can it be a short or a problem with the blinker unit?
Can you tell me what brand and part # bulb I might need?
Is there an online writeup on how to change the blinker anywhere?

Yeah, common problem amongst F-bodies. Change the bulb and then silicone the base before putting it back in.

Just use the search key on this site and plug in the word: DRL You will see more than enough stickies on this phantom.

I emailed you back. Silicone the base of the bulb after you put it in the socket to keep water out.

Put dielectric grease on the connector going into the socket. Watch the video

check that socket too while you have it apart and make sure it's not corroded in there. If it looks like moisture is getting into the housing figure out where it's getting in and fix it or you'll end up with corroded sockets and be going through this again pretty soon.
