I dont like the reusable filters....too much 5-10micron and less stuff never gets "washed" out and recirculates around your engine versus a fresh media to work with at oil change....
Glad to hear that, just clicked submit on an order for an Amsoil Ea Air Filter, a Wix Fuel filter and an Amsoil Ea oil filter.

Hey Sarge, where do you sign up for that deal you get on Pennzoil, I remember seeing you mentioned a club somewhere, is it a Pennzoil club, Walmart, or an auto parts store, and do you know if membership is still open?

Yeah I know what you mean about the reuseable filters Sarge. Thats why I am going toget my reuseable filter sonic cleaned after a few oil changes. Other then that its a great oil filter. I use it on most of my custom build and have noticed on average a 7psi pressure increase over a traditional paper filter. Normally I run Wix or K N filters but I figured I would give the reuseable one a try and I am very happy with it.

I was too at first. But after talking with the guy that makes them for me I felt a little better. Now that I have run them on a few vehicles and sold close to 50 of them personally, I dont have any issues with them. They guy that makes them for me has been running them on motorcycles since 1995.

    Preferably...from a very high cliff.

Check this link out, they talk about how it likes to bursts open at the seam, despite it's thick wall construction.

No busting out any seams in a billet Aluminum oil filter.

How much do cartridges run for that?

I'm thinking it would be extremely cost ineffective to throw it away and pop a new one in with each OC?

Just don't like the idea of possibly reducing pressure over time as it got more and more plugged up, despite cleaning.

And what kind of bypass does it use?

it does have the pressure Bypass in it like most oem filters. And it is very cost effective as you dont throw away the cartridge. you clean it out. you clean back flush clean it or sclean it with compressed air once you get the majority of the filter cleaned. You can also get it sonic cleaned if you happen to have a problem with you engine and something goes in it like a bearing. if anything this filter helps with pressure. It also has a magnet built in for prefiltering to try to grab any metal particles that happen to be in your engine.

I am willing to wager my trans am that my mobil 1 filter is not going to collapse. The trans am filter is extremley small considering engine size, and yes if you put it on a highly modified engine that has a lot of flow it probably will. But that is just common sense. Everything has limits. Put an amsoil filter for the trans am on a drag racer it is going to have issues also. Don't expect more out of products than reasonable. My grandpa has been using fram oil filters his whole life and swears by them, and he is 91. Any idea how many oil changes that is, every 2k miles he changes it. Never once had a failure with any of them, and his truck had over 250k miles on it, all fram oil filters.

It doesn't collapse, it explodes, taking half your engine with it. You can usually tell when someone running an M1 filter, you'll either see a huge mushroom cloud emanating from the person's car or if they started in a garage, the garage is blown to bits, it's very sad. It's happened many times, your playing with fire.

Fram used to be good, they changed the filter and now it sucks, go get one and cut it open yourself, very disappointing.
