I am glad it served you well

The screws in the plate were always backing off and the motor burned up in mine..... I would check it every oil change. No probs with the DMH so far.....

DMH from KYspeed also. Too much bad press and reputation of burned up motors from QTP from me. Plus, DMH warranty is awesome.

Yes, you can have it barely cracked, half way, fully open or anywhere in between.

QTP is widely known to be junk! Mine like many others I know has broken more than once. DMH hands down and carries a 4 year warranty and opens and closes much faster than QTP. I will never buy another QTP again.

Any idea which company manufactured it? (I assume you purchased the Summit brand)

the local shop says that the Doug's headers cutouts are the best. they dont use a butterfly valve but a sliding setup. they dont leak.

they are more expensive, but supposedly a much better part

ill agree with the QTP being junk

i dont like the dougs because they are big bulky and dont look like they would seal well

dmh may be a good product but i bought the race ready performance cutouts because they had a lifetime warranty and they have been the best of all the ones ive had! They also had a new wireless switch i saw this year but mine just has a standard switch
