    Belt squeel?

I washed my car about 3 days ago and decided to clean on the engine a little. I got the engine looking pretty good but now it sounds like the belt is squeeling. It does it the whole time Im driving. What do I do now.

I had the same problem and ended up just replacing the belt.

Probably just needed to dry off. If you get the issue in the future, and you're sure the belt is good, parts stores sell belt dressing, IIRC it's STP in a blue can with red cap.

probably your AC belt making the noise...

i know a while back i had a problem with belt squeel and found a bullitin from GM that they had the wrong pully bracket offset installed for the serpentine belts... you might be one of the guys like me who had to get a new bracket...
