Navy Blue Metallic- 2001 Camaro Z28 M6 T-Top
Battery leaked in the past . . .
I purchased this car with 54,000 miles on the clock and its pretty clean. However, I was detailing the engine yesterday and noticed that at one time, the battery had leaked and corroded the metal underneath (rust).
I did some searches on here and found that the OEM battery had a tendency to leak. The battery in the car now is leak-free. However, should I be concerned with the surface corrosion (other than visually being an eye-sore)?
Also, any tips for cleaning the area would be appreciated. Thank you!

Mine did the same... Wouldn't mind fixing up the metal there either. I guess you could remove everything under the battery right there, grind out the corrosion and then repaint and clear that section of the frame, etc....
